How it all started...
FBC Reidsville began in the 1800s as a small group of local people began meeting between two local farms as they sat on split log benches under a grove of oak trees. Missionary Baptist Church, as it was known then, was formed in 1843. The church became known as Hogan Creek Missionary Baptist Church and later Reidsville Baptist Church in 1871, and FBC Reidsville, as is currently located, was constructed and later dedicated in 1882 and renamed to First Baptist Church Reidsville in 1909. The building seen to the right was the brick building replacement constructed in 1921. It is now a gym and youth room connected to our Sanctuary (constructed 1977) and our educational building (constructed 1957)

Expanding the vision...
We are called and are serving in faithful obedience to expand the Gospel footprint locally, nationally, and internationally. We actively serve in local schools and lead after school Bible clubs, Reading Buddy programs, and school backpack programs. Our middle and high school students participate in mission trips to reach the lost and feed the hungry in nearby states. We also send teams annually to the Good Shepherd Clinic in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala to serve with local Baptist missionaries in a children's home, pastor training facility, and medical clinic.
Where we are headed...
God has big plans for the people of FBC Reidsville as we continue to be active and intentional in our community for the cause of Christ! We believe the church is not a building - it's a people. So each of us - adults, students, and children - will declare the Glory of God and the love of Jesus Christ wherever we may be. As God opens more doors for our church to reach hearts and meet the needs of people made in His image, we will step out in faith and continue to live the Great Commission.
